Emma is Assistant Programme Manager with the South East Enterprise Platform Programme based in the Research & Innovation Building WIT Carriganore Campus. The SEEPP is a one year new business start-up support programme, run by Waterford Institute of Technology in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland and Tipperary Institute. The programme provides comprehensive Management Skills Training, Incubation Space, Funding, Mentoring and Business Networking to innovative start-up companies based in the South East of Ireland. Christine Shanahan (O'Brien) was President of Network Waterford in 2003 and National Vice President in 2004. A director since Concept was founded in 1992, Christine is responsible for the administration and creative aspects of the business. A former Art & Design teacher Christine is a certified member of the William Glasser Institute of Ireland and has worked as an Art Therapist. Concept is Waterford's longest established web design and application development company. Concept are proud sponsors of the Network web site.

Samantha Clooney, Network PRO, trained in computers and office skills and realised very early in her career that she had a great waywith people. Samantha worked in various departments at Waterford Crystal, before settling in Logistics and Customer Services for ten years. Since graduating from the WIT having studied business, Samantha has started The Virtual Office, providing a full range of remote outsourced professional administrative and telephone answering services for businesses. Other services include: Spreadsheet and Database creation and management, Debt Recovery, bulk Mail outs, Research, Executive Gift Purchase, Event & Meeting planning. When she is not working, Samantha loves to spend time with family and friends, her favourite past time is Astronomy and Gardening and when she’s not knee deep in clay or plants, she loves to entertain!!

She is also; a Fellow of Institution of Occupational Safety & Health and Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development; a Corporate Member of both Irish Institute of Training & Development and Irish Ergonomics Society; a former National President of Network; a Board Member of Health & Safety Authority from 1995 to 1998; a Director of Fight for Sight; the first lady Chairperson of IOSH Ireland, 2004.

When Claire recently moved to Waterford from Dublin she joined Network Waterford as she has been a member of Network Dublin and Meath, and she knew it would be a good way to meet like-minded women in Waterford and is 2005 branch secretary. Claire has started to practise in massage therapy and reflexology, having qualified in both in the last few years. She has worked in the heritage sector, and in the administration of a busy architectural practice, and she has seen the consequences of stressful work situations and feels that both massage therapy and reflexology have an important role to play in today’s society.
