Wed 28th April - Work Life Balance by Dr Eileen Drew
We were delighted to welcome Dr Eileen Drew, a Senior Lecturer
in the Department of Statistics and the Centre for Gender and Women's
Studies at Trinity College and a leading authority in Ireland in the field
of sociology and women's studies.
Dr Drew's presentation on "Work-Life Balance" was based
on research she carried out on the types of family friendly policies in
organizations, the level of availability and uptake of family friendly
working arrangements in Irish workplaces, attitudes to family friendly
working arrangements among employers, employees and work colleagues and
to identify existing research available in this area.

Claire
Connors, the LEADER Enterprise Project Manager based in Dungarvan and
reception organiser, has been in contact with her Finnish counterpart
Eeva Arpala in this pan European project to promoting the development
of links between women businesswomen and entrepreneurs in rural areas
of Europe for several months.
The Irish delegates included Claire Connors, Enterprise
Project Manager, Christine Shanahan, Vice President Network Ireland. Teresa
Connery, National Membership Officer, Elizabeth O'Mahony, Past National
President, Mary O'Connor, membership, Aileen Hynes, on the spot photographer
and Noreen Pender, City Jewellers.

January 2004 - The Art of Speed Networking with Tricia Murphy
A fun night and wonderful opportunity at the
beginning of the year to meet new contacts and to develop business opportunities
for 2004!
The evening was facilitated by Tricia Murphy, Tig Alliance
and past president of Network Dublin. Tricia is a regular presenter on
radio and has just returned from New Zealand where she ran workshops and
was keynote speaker a major conference. Tricia promotes Networking both
